1.Aids-prevention Publicity Activities in Communities
“Care for Each Other, Build Aids-prevention Great Wall with Joint Efforts” Aids-prevention Publicity Activity
Beijing Careyouth has organized college student volunteer team for many times, county art performing troupes, caring families and medical volunteers in the communities in Henan province where aids occurs in high frequency to hold a series of publicity activities including aids-prevention, “Importance of Perseverance in Taking Antivirus Medicines”, “Eliminating Discrimination, Sharing Life Together” and propagating state policy of “four exemption and one care”. Through these activities, healthy people in the communities get to learn how to prevent Aids, thus creating an existence environment for Aids-infected patients.
When farmers finished farm work at night, we would play science and educational films of agricultural breeding and planting in order to help them get rid of poverty with local resources.

2.Aids clinics have been set up in the aids-stricken villages, however, the medical technologies are poor and medicines are far from adequate. In response to the demands of infected patients/victims and poor women, Beijing Careyouth and medical workers in the grass-root level have provided health consultancy outpatient service for infected patients. At the same time, the following activities were carried out:
1) Free emergency medical assistance was provided to dozens of Aids victims which saved and prolonged their lives.
2) Clinics conducted psychology consultancy in both outreach and outpatient service, giving psychology support to HIV-
infected patients, AIDS victims and their family members.
Outreach Service:
1) Out-patient doctor and careyouth workers provided outreach service in patients’ family and palliative service for over twenty patients, thus exploiting new forms of caring for aids victims in the community.
2) Clinics often provided consultancy service of medical technology for different diseases for HIV-infected patients, AIDS victims and their family members. Clinics gave them instructions to get medicines provided by the state for free and to use singel-folk-recipe of chinese herbal medicines to cure opportunistic infections. Clinics also distributed gen-seng and other traditional Chinese medicines to more than sixty HIV-infected patients and AIDS victims to improve their anti-disease ability and immune system.

3.The infection family treatment with nurses the cooperation group ability construction
Beijing careyouth provide the concern, nurses, the society and the emotion support to HIV infector/AIDS family, establishes the infection and its the family member of the nurses the cooperation group, carried out dozens of activities with the ticipation type method to strengthens its organization ability construction and their nursing with to guard against aids prevention. 4.We have done for the infected and their families
1)purchase of soybean milk machines from the infected mutually aiding group.
In order to ameliorate the nutrition condition of the infected and patients, we bought the infected 3 soybean milk machines,which made soybean milk free and fresh available to hundreds of the families of the infected every day.

2)celebration party for the coming year which intended to soothe the AIDS patients sincerely
When 2006 was coming as the new year, we sent about one hundred AIDS infected, patients and orphans in Henan province nurtures and new year consoling gifts.

3)the outings of the infected
By the means of organizing the outings, Beijing Careyouth has successfully deepened the concerns and communication among the infected, relaxed their suppressed mood, resumed the hope hided deep into their hearts, helped the infected relieve their secluded living state and mental pressures, and bestirred them into confronting the disease and social discrimination in an optimistic and positive attitude. The friendship and mutual spirits of the infected were re-enforced, their feelings of social responsibilities were enhanced, and more and more the infected were getting involved into the prevention and treatment of AIDS.
4)aiding poor women, orphans and the aged without offspring by the means of alleviate their burdens as medicine and living fees.
Beijing Careyouth helped poor women with the medicine fees, orphans and the aged without offspring as well as penniless AIDS patients with their living. Dozens of the patients merely losing their lives were given new birth after our giving them a hand.

5)the publication of the booklet on cure and care of the families with some AIDS patient
Aiming at enlightening the knowledge about care within home on more AIDS families, Beijing Careyouth organized doctors and nurses from AIDS clinics to edit the book named cure and care of the families with some AIDS patient, which met the demands of AIDS families. This booklet is full of illustrations as well as words, and what it contains includes the care of AIDS families, family treatment of some ubiquitous symptoms, how to back the patients on the aspects of nutrition and mentality,and the instructions of the usage of medicine.
